1. Boulder International Film Festival
(February 28th – March 3rd)
“Films, filmmakers, and film enthusiasts from around the world come to Downtown Boulder for a four-day celebration of the art of cinema. Join them with a festival ticket or an individual show ticket. Special guests, award-winning films, and other surprises await you.”
BIFF is located at four main venues across Downtown Boulder. There is much street-side parking and several parking garages. These venues are only a 5- to 10-minute drive from our hotel.
2. Boulder Arts Week
(March 29th – April 6th)
“Boulder Arts Week is the only large-scale, inclusive celebration of our community’s vibrant arts and cultural offerings, promoting and celebrating our city’s thriving creativity. The entire city comes together to shine a spotlight on the city’s excellent artists and arts and culture offerings such as art walks, First Fridays, exhibitions, performances, dance, music, theatre, public art, artist demonstrations, lectures, readings, workshops, and symposia.”
Boulder Arts Week takes place at the Dairy Arts Center at 2490 Walnut Street, which is about a 10-minute drive from our hotel.
3. Winter Craft Beer Festival
“A beer festival? At this time of year? In this weather? Localized entirely within Folsom Field? Can you see it? Of course! For the most enthusiastic beer lovers, you don’t have to wait for warmer weather to enjoy the best beer.”
Folsom Stadium is located on the CU campus at 2400 Colorado Avenue. It’s about a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from our hotel.
4. Boulder Tulip and Fairy Festival
“Spring officially arrives in Downtown Boulder when the vibrant Tulip Fairy, along with pint-sized fairies and elves, parade around the Pearl Street Mall ‘welcoming the tulips’. This beloved springtime tradition features special events and activities for girls and boys and celebrate the more than 15,000 tulips that adorn the world renowned Pearl Street Mall throughout the spring season. The event includes live stage performances, face painting, free activities for children and more!”
All festival activities will be along Pearl Street Mall and around Downtown Boulder. It should take only 10 minutes to drive there from our hotel.
5. Bolder Boulder
“One of the largest, most entertaining and most highly acclaimed 10K races in the world. Around almost every corner there is a little fun to be had. Runners, joggers, walkers, even dancers (and many of them in costume) will attend this race to have fun and celebrate Memorial Day after the finish line at Folsom Field.”
The BolderBoulder 10K will take you all around Boulder, as a sort of tour around Ara (East Boulder), North Boulder, Central Boulder, Downtown and finally the CU campus.
6. Boulder IRONMAN
“One of the world’s most popular and challenging physical competitions, the IRONMAN triathlon has come to Boulder since 2014. Nestled at the foot of the foot of the Flatirons mountains, our community of health-conscious culture, perfect summer weather, and beautiful scenery makes Boulder a favorite destination to many for an IRONMAN circuit.”
In the IRONMAN Boulder course, you will swim the Boulder Reservoir, bike the high-North Boulder area, and then run all through Boulder to finish at Central Park.
