Colorado Shakespeare Festival plays for the summer 2015 season include the lighter comedic fare “Much Ado About Nothing,” the tragedy of “Othello” and the historical “Henry V”. Plan ahead and enjoy the splendor of outdoor Shakespearean theater, under the flatirons, in the mid summers night only a mile away from the Best Western Plus Boulder Inn.
William Shakespeare’s 38 plays portray a range of human emotions from belly aching joy filled laughter, to sublime heart skipping romance, to back stabbing betrayal leading to uncontrollable tears in sorrows sonnets. Watch timeless stories that reveal with poetic prose our ongoing fragile but also truly delightful human condition. It is a major accomplishment to read all 38 plays. It is a rare accomplishment for any theater company to complete Shakespeare’s entire cannon.
The Colorado Shakespeare Festival upcoming 2015 season, which is now on sale, will put the annual showcase on track to complete the entire canon a second time for the organization’s 60th birthday celebration in 2017. That accomplishment will put the Colorado Shakespeare Festival in a very elite theatrical circle of peers. Along with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival will be one of only two organizations in North America to have done two tours of all Shakespeare’s plays. Plan ahead to enjoy a Bards tale in Boulder!
