“Great Service & Good Breakfast”
Reviewed October 28, 2013
Staff were extremely helpful at check-in with some great tips on where to eat and local attractions. Rooms were spacious and clean and breakfast had a great variety to choose from. Location was very close to Boulder University and about 20 minutes to walk to the center of town (or a few minutes to the closest bus).
The University of Colorado, known as CU to the locals, is a top level research facility that has received over $280 million in sponsored research awards. CU offers its 30,000 students over 85 bachelor level majors, 70 at the masters level, and 50 at the doctoral level. The main campus sits on 600 beautiful acres in the heart of Boulder, named the smartest city in the U.S. by Forbes magazine. In 1976 the American Institute of Architects recognized the campus, which includes more than 200 rural-Italian-style buildings, as “one of America’s most significant works of architecture.”
CU’s Buffaloes joined the Pac 12 conference, leading to some exciting games against new opponents. Between the varsity football, basketball, soccer, track and field, golf, cross country, and volleyball teams, there is plenty of action to see.
